Crunchy Tortillas with tabasco warm salad and chicken thighs

Wandering between  the shelvers of the supermarket i saw a red pack that catched my attention and the yellow color of the corn in it so, i thought a new recipe with Crunchy Tortillas with tabasco warm salad and chicken thighs


Ingredients for two people

Crunchy Tortillas with tabasco warm salad and chicken thighs

Warm salad with peppers and aubergines

2 Big peppers                                                                                                

2 Big violet aubergines                                                                                     

1 Garlic cloves                                                                                                 

3 Basil leaves                                                                                                  

Salt enough                                                                                                

Chicken thighs                                                                                        

4 Chicken thighs                                                                                              

1 Garlic cloves                                                                                                 

1 EVO spoons                                                                                                  

Salt enough                                                                                                           


1 Crunchy tortillas pack  (250g)                                                                        

20 Tabasco drops                                                                                            


What we need

2 frying pan – 1 slate dish


How we do it

Warm salad with peppers and aubergines

Prepare the peppers by cutting the stem off, opening the peppers in half.

Pull out seeds, rince the peppers and cut them in strips.

Do the same thing with the aubergines but cut them in cubes.

Spill the oil in the pan add the garlic clove and make frying the aubergines then add then peppers.

Cook it at medium hot.

The frying could to dry in this case add water from time to time.

At the cooking-end cut the basil leaves into small pieces and add it then add salt and mix.

Let him warming cold.

Chicken thighs

Spill the oil in the pan after add the garlic clove then the thighs.

Let the thighs getting brown at high hot, add salt and let  them cook at medium hot and turning them upsidedown from time to time.


Put in the dishes

In the center of the dish put the salad then  the thighs on the salad finally let 2 tabasco drops drop over every thigh.

Put the tortillas in a circular way aroun the thighs  and don’t forget to spill a tabasco drop on the top of every tortilla; in this way the flavours are mixed.

I suggest you to eat first the chicken and to put the salad over every tortillas because so you can better taste the mingled flavours between the chicken and the corn of the tortillas that will be increased from the spicy aftertaste of the tabasco.

Hi, In this season we need to eat cold dishes with the right nutritional balance. A cold salad with white meat like turkey makes the right nutritional balance. Here you have the cold salad with tarragon and turkey thighs. A flavours mix that gives to you back the right nutritional balance.


Ingredients for two people

Ingredients for the cold salad –   Quantity

Potatoes                                                          400 gr

Peppers                                                           2 big size

Tropea onion                                                    1

Pachino tomatoes                                             100 gr

Tarragon                                                          1 tea spoon

EVO                                                                 250 ml

Salt                                                                  a prick


Turkey thighs ingredients –        Quantity

Turkey                                                             400 gr

Rosemary                                                         1 little branch

Garlic                                                               1 clove

EVO                                                                 4 spoons

Salt                                                                  a prick

Whole bread                                                      200 gr



What we need

Pot (low edge), frying pan, bowl with a top, a slate dish or a flat dish.


Let’s cook

Cold salad with tarragon

Peel off potatoes and cut them in a cube shape, put them in the pot and spill the oil then cook at medium heat. In the meantime cut the onion and in tight stripes, rinse the tomatoes and do not cut them. When the potatoes become half cooked add the others ingredients ( you got the half cooking if you can put the fork in the potatoes). Add salt at the end cooking. Let’ s cool the salad, put in a bowl, cover it and leave it in the refrigerator for two hours.



Spill the oil in the pan, then put first the turkey then the garlic clove and finally rosemary. Cook at average heat.

Let’s serve

Cold salad with tarragon and turkey thighs

Slice bread in thin slices. Put the turkey at the center of the dish, on a part the salad and the bread on the other. From the top, spill the oil you used to cook from the turkey to the bread. In this way you can taste the turkey with a good wholemeal bread slice.  The flavour of the tarragon will join the turkey and bread leaving a delicious aftertaste.

Hi, here you have the ingredients and steps to make the big blossomed donut.

Why I’m calling in this way? Well, I’ll explain to you.

Let’s get started to say that many times I have read recipes about how to make the big marbled donut, at the step about how to mesh the simply mixture with the chocolate one mixture, I never have clearly read how to do.

So  I decided to show you the steps as if you were in the kitchen with me.

But let’s go in sequence.



Blossomed donut

200 gr butter or 135 ml of EVO (I am used to use the oil because makes the mixture more soft)

To convert the dose of butter in EVO you can follow the formula: in this case (200gr/3)x2=133,3

175 gr sugar

1 packet of vanillin

4 eggs

A pinch of salt

175 gr flour 00

125 gr frumina

1 packet of yeast for desserts

Bitter Cocoa

Lemon peel


Ok. Now the steps, you will see how simple and easy is to do the donut.


How we do it

Take a bowl.

I suggest you to melt the butter living at room temperature so with a mixer make it became in cream.

If you decided to use the oil then spill in the bowl.

Add sugar and keep on mixing add vanillin, eggs, salt and the lemon peels.  

Now the delicate step.

Add the sifted flour and the sifted frumina, if you not want to do this step then put slowly the flour and the frumina increasing the speed of the mixer.

Finally, the star of our result: the yeast. 

If the mixture has become thick add milk.

Put more than the half of the mixture in the dough mold, before to do this, butter up the mold  and cover with the flour to prevent at the mixture to become attached on the mold.

Now the exciting step.

Add the bitter cocoa at the mixture and mesh it with the mixer.

So take a spoon and add, in a circular way, the chocolate mixture.

 You can use a spoon or a fork instead of the knife to create the effect. The important thing is the movement you do to create the effect.

Then, with a sharp-pointed knife, slice the mixture like if you are cutting a cake. The movement of the knife allow at the chocolate mixture to come down and make the double layer.

Then baked.

It takes more or less of 50 min, but you can check, after that it has leavened, with a toothpick. Put the toothpick in the cake if pulling it out it is dry, the cake is ready.

Preheated the oven.

150 – 180 for electrical oven

160 -180 ventilated oven

190-210 gas

The blossomed donut now is ready. I created the flower shape, putting up and down the knife in the mixture.

6 chicken thighs





600 gr = 21,164 oncia potatoes




3 spoon of Extra Virgin Oil


What we need

Kitchen foil – 2 baking tray


How we do the chicken.

Cut the chicken thighs in half and separate the two half so, put the curry in dust onto the half parts then a slice of provolone cut it in a half moon shape, close the parts add salt and spill few tabasco drops on the top.

Cut the kitchen foil so you can wrap the wide part of the thighs leaving the smallest unwrapped. Take a look at the pictures.

Baked for 30 minutes at the temperature of 180°C in a static mode.


How we do potatoes

In the meantime, that the chicken is in the oven, peel out the potatoes then cut in rectangular pieces and put them in the baking tray, spread oregano and curry on top of them, finally spill oil and add salt.

Wrap up the potatoes and bake at 180°C in static mode for 20 min.

Carbonara – Bucatini alla carbonara

With her we can make many recipes but the first ever is:

The Carbonara


Carbonara Recipe


  • 200 gr of pancetta sliced into a big piece.
  • 3 eggs ( you can buy them from a farmer or a greengrocer alternatively buy them in a supermarket but pay attention on the label on the box,  there must be written “ hens breeding on ground” )
  • 1 spoon of extra virgin oil
  • Black pepper
  • Salt
  • 160 gr of pasta:  bucatini or restaurant spaghetti


What we need: 1 pot and 1 frying pan


How we do it

Pour the oil into the frying pan, then slice the pancetta into pieces and put them into the pan. Turn on the fire and let brown the pieces of bacon.

When fat bacon becomes gelatinous, turn off the fire.

In the meantime, beat eggs and add a little of black pepper.

Fill the pot with water and add salt, turn on the fire and cook the pasta.  When the bucatini are underdone drain them, then put them into the frying pan with the bacon and mix them.

Turn off the fire, pour eggs and keep on mix.

Here you have the gsartecucina’s carbonara.

even with few ingredients is possible to create good tastes for lunch, breackfast or dinner also in every moment we want to have a meal.

Wholemeal sandwich10 pieces
Provolone1 hectogram
Pachino tomatoes 
Oil EVO3 spoons


What do you need

Baking paper 
Small shape diameter 3 
Medium shape diameter 6 
Square shape 4×4 


How to bake the egg

Put the baking paper on the bottom and the medium shape on it then cut the baking paper few more inches than the medium shape; pour the oil and spread the oregano and than put the white egg. In the middle of the medium put the small shape and inside of it the yellow egg, so spread on the top salt and oregano . Set the oven in the static mode at the temperature of 100 °C. and baking 5 minutes.

Take away the egg from the medium shape, you will see a circle shape around the white egg, put on top of it the yellow egg and nearby from this the speck. To create a rose of speck turn the slice around itself so to have a spring inside and petals outside.

Here you have a dish with only one egg and everybody will eat it.

Add every aroma that you like.


How to prepare the sandwich

Take two slices of sandwich and cut the black parts out and stretch the slices with the rolling-pin and cut them  like the rectangular shape, to do this, press gently the shape on the top of every slice; then pour the oil and spread the oregano and one slice of speck and provolone after the tomatoes cut in two half, add salt and oregano and put the other slice on top, press gently to mix the ingredients lastly put a slice of provolone on top.

Set the oven in static mode at the temperature of 150°C  and bake for 3 minutes. Be careful to put the baking sheet on the middle.
